Wed evening. Went to mom's place to wait for hubby to finish work. Masa dalam train tu rasa macam dah ok, except for runny nose. But sekali demam balik pulak. So we only went to hubby's kolig's chalet that nite. The JB thingie was cancelled. While at mom's place, mommy and me sat outside chit chatting near the tangga while waiting for hubby to arrive, and i manage to snap this pic of the moon with my hp...it looks a bit small from the pic but actually the moon was mengambang and looking very beautiful that nite... i just love the peace and serenity at nite around my parent's place.
At the chalet, we makan-ed and took pics with the gorgeous couple. His teamates were really nice and friendly. After we left the chalet, hubby brought me to the 24hr clinic. Temp taken there was 38 degrees, and i had all the usual flu symptoms. given medicines and 1 day MC for thursday. went back home, wash up, kena paksa makan SEMUA ubat2 tuh (under strict supervision to make sure i swallowed everything and dun try to escape taking the dreaded yucky tasting cough syrup :p) , and try to get some zzz. but i still didn't feel ok..demam macam tak turun2 pulak :-/ thus i couldn't sleep well that nite.
When fever still didn't subside by Thursday evening despite popping panadols, having ice pack put on my head and taking cooling drinks, i decided to heed mom's & hubby's advice to see the doctor again. Mommy was already scaring me by saying its not good kalau demam terus macam tu, mesti ada infection or something yg tak kena somewhere... Hubby also said he could fry an egg on me. lol. Since he was on niteshift that day, i was suppose to overnite at mom's place, so i decided to drop by at A & E at CGH on the way there. Temp taken there was 39 degrees. Told to sit at the fever area while waiting for my number to be called. Sempat pulak snap gambar sendiri while waiting to see doc. Check out da senget mask..hehehe.
Anyway, the doc decided to do a blood and urine test on me. said it could be a viral/dengue fever. Both urine and blood test results didn't turn out that good. Doc said my platelets was low, and it could early signs of dengue or other types of viral fever but its too early to confirm it. Was told to come back in 2 days time on saturday for a repeat blood test, if the results showed no improvements then i'll be warded. alamak ni yg tak best. Was given another day MC for friday, more medicines, and told to come back asap if i had any nose bleedings etc. Alhamdulilah by friday, i was feeling much better, except i was still a bit tired and still having runny nose/cough .Was confident that saturday's blood results would show improvement. So i was in good spirits when hubby and me left for CGH on saturday for the repeat blood test. Tapi alangkah sedihnya when doc said the blood results was actually worse than thursday's. Doc said the platelets have gone down further and thats not good coz it most likely is dengue (altho i had no rashes) :-/ Doc asked if i felt tired, vomitted or nauseous, yup i felt tired and nauseous a lot but no vomitting and otherwise ok. I then asked doc if he could give me some ubat to increase my platelets, tapi hampa doc cakap no medicines for that, and no cure for dengue either, they can only treat the symptoms as and when it appears. since i had a bit of diarrhoea past few days, doc kasi ubat diarrhoea (which, btw, i never took at all..lol), and said he will not ward me first since i look quite alrite at that time. but he said i will have to come back again in 2 days time for the 3rd and final blood test that will determine whether i'll be warded or otherwise. Meantime i was told not to tire myself out for those 2 days, not to cut myself and be careful to avoid falls and to come back immediately if i have giddiness, rashes etc. Doc said he would be very happy for me if he see even a slight improvement in the results on monday even if its still below the normal level coz that means my body is showing signs of recovery and i will be fine. Was given yet another day MC for monday.
By the time we left hospital, i was in low mood already. But tried not to think too much of it. Hubby then called up his workplace to take leave off work for sunday as well, which i dunno made me feel better or worse coz i felt like i was troubling him (even tho he never said that). he felt it wasn't safe for me to be home alone on sunday after what the doctor had said. Mommy lagi bagus, she was like "alamak kesiannya monday ijat punya birthday dia kena anta kau pi hospital pulak". But of course i know mommy was concerned too coz she kept asking how i was feeling now and then.
Then Monday came. Yup it was hubby's 30th birthday that day! Just spend the day lazing at home while waiting to go for my medical appt since the husband was not in the mood to go out jalan2, maybe due to the rainy weather. Alhamdulilah, this time the blood test results not only improved by a little..but A LOT!! back to normal level already :) Yayyyy!!
And back to work today! How did i celebrate my return to work?? By falling down flat on my hands and knees on the way to work this morning. It was raining and the ground was wet, was doing my kartun walk aka mini-jog..ntah camne tersliding and jatuh kelepup. Nasib baik not tat many ppl at the spot that i fell..kakakah! Except for a bruised knee, i'm well and fine..and continued the mad dash to work after getting up on my feet again :p
